Shannon Seipp Aronson is an accomplished marketing and communications executive with expertise in recreational boating and marine industry leadership. She currently serves as Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC), where she has spent 11 years advancing the organization’s mission. In her role, she leads organizational brand strategy, elevates ABYC’s national and global visibility, and drives integrated marketing initiatives that support standards development, workforce education, and industry-wide safety.
She is a Boating Industry 40 Under 40 honoree, a Women Making Waves award recipient, and a two-time Neptune Award winner from the Marine Marketers of America.
Before joining ABYC, Shannon worked for a marketing agency supporting nonprofit clients, and previously gained sports marketing experience with professional soccer, baseball, and lacrosse organizations.
She holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from James Madison University, studying Marketing and Sports & Recreation Leadership. During her time at JMU, she was a member of the women’s soccer team and served as a two-year team captain.
Shannon’s early years spent boating and her love of the outdoors have shaped her perspective and continue to drive her passion for the marine industry.
